Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Dao of Demi (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit thedaoflow.com (the “Site”), create an account, book a session, make a purchase, or contact us.

We know that many people who come to this Site are seeking wellness support in sensitive circumstances. We treat your information accordingly and collect only what we need to provide our services.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details — when you sign up, your name and email address, and (if you use “Sign in with Google”) basic profile information from your Google account. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
  • Bookings and purchases — the sessions or products you order, the date and time of a booking, and any notes you choose to add to a booking (for example, injuries or health considerations you want the instructor to know about).
  • Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your card details directly; we do not see or store full card numbers. We store a record of the transaction (amount, items, a Stripe reference, and the email tied to your account).
  • Interest list — if you ask to be notified when a program or cohort opens, we store your email address, an optional name, and which topic you’re interested in.
  • Messages — anything you send us by email or through a form on the Site.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic technical data — our hosting provider (Google Cloud / Firebase) logs standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability.
  • Essential cookies — we use cookies and similar local storage only where needed to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We do not currently run third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To schedule, confirm, and deliver classes and services you book.
  • To process payments and fulfill orders.
  • To send you transactional messages (booking confirmations, receipts, account notices).
  • To notify you about a program or cohort you asked to hear about.
  • To respond to your questions and provide support.
  • To keep the Site secure, prevent abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. When we share information

We share personal information only with:

  • Service providers that run the Site on our behalf, under agreements that limit their use of your data:
    • Google / Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, and hosting.
    • Stripe — payment processing.
    • Brevo — sending our transactional and notification emails.
    • An email forwarding provider for messages sent to our @thedaoflow.com address.
  • Authorities or others when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, or is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of you, us, or the public.
  • A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

4. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, and afterward only as required to meet legal, tax, accounting, or security obligations, or to resolve disputes. Booking and order records are generally retained for the period required by applicable tax and business-records law.

5. Your choices and rights

  • Access and correction — you can view and update your account information after signing in, or ask us to do so.
  • Deletion — you can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Marketing / notifications — you can opt out of interest-list and non-essential emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
  • Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or certain U.S. states), you may have additional rights such as data portability or the right to object to certain processing. We will honor these rights as the law requires.

To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 9.

6. Security

We use reputable infrastructure providers and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on administrative functions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. International visitors

We are based in the United States and our service providers store and process data in the United States and other countries. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
